Went with 285/75/16 Cooper STT Pictures

I Went with the 33" E rated STT 285's over the 35" tires to save fuel, steering box stress, even seen a friend break a front axle in half (inner axle shaft) due to to much traction from the 35's in 4wd on pavement while pulling out a friend from a bad situation. I think it looks pretty awesome but my close friends think it looks stupid and say i should return them for the 35's... I use my truck for a truck, not a show rig. I pull 20k lb trailers and want the rig to handle as good as a 2nd gen can- I think the 285's are prefect.. Lookin for input and support

Sure looks fine to me. Remember this about opinions though, they are like armpits, everyone has them and they usually stink. (There is another version of that saying, but it isn't family friendly)

Those look nice and Coopers are a top shelf tire.

Tell your friends to keep their opinions to themselves, they are showing their inabilities at grading nice trucks!!

Nice, can I ask how much you paid for the tires? I'm running the same size Yoko Goelanders and they are cupped from worn front end and need to be replaced cause the truck shakes me up and down. They were not very good in snow. I'm thinking of going stock size Michelins next.

I run 285 BF Goodrich and hate them . I see I now have more boost to run at 65 mph than I did with the Michelin tires I run in the summer.Last winter I put about 3000 miles on them a hated the winter traction . They are not worth the money I spent and never will I ever buy them again.

$950 for the 10 ply E rated tires. No tax in oregon either, they are loud though.

Yeah I dont care for my 285s either, I love the way they look but thats about it. I thought going taller would improve fuel economy but I dont see it. Unemployed at the moment so Im going to rotate the cupped fronts to the rear and go burn some rubber.
