Water In Cab!?
what's the deal, i have water in my cab on the passenger side close to the door. it just absolutely soaks the carpet and even the floor mat. people say that it's the a/c not draining right but...it does it even when i don't run my a/c and when i stop and let the truck sit awhile after running the a/c there's a puddle of water under the truck like there should be. so why, what, and where is this water coming from and how can i get it to stop?

nah, unfortunatley, we need the rain, but i'll check it out anyway but it has been dry here. but i've heard about the 3rd brake light letting water by but is the spot described where it all ends up at, b/c this the only spot and nowhere else,i checked it out.

Id say check it again
if ur insulation is wet, then it drains downward into your passenger floorboard, if you are certain thats not it, the seals on ur door could possibly have an area where water can go thru, and if thats not it either, id say ur third brake light is the culprit..

Air conditioning runs in A/C mode, of course, but it also runs in "Bi-Level" (vents and floor) and Defrost/Defrost-floor.
So, even if you think you aren't using the A/C, you might be.

ok, one at a time here. to start us off, no it's not coolant, that is for sure, deffinetly water.
and now does the a/c run when the **** points to "off" if so then it may be the a/c but i can't remember if it's done it when the **** is set to "off" or not i'm leaving soon to get my girlfriend from work and i'll let ya know later, i'll cruise with the windows down and see.
but what ya'll think, are ya leaning toward the a/c. if so what do i need to check and what do i need to do about it?
thanks guys for all the assistance.

I had a similar problem but with mine it was on both sides. If there are any holes in the floor the carpet will soak it up like a sponge. Water runs down the firewall and under the cab a bit so its got easy access to the floor.
You might want to scrape the asphalt tile looking sticky things off the floor and see if there are any holes under them.
The ac drain is right under the accumulator. you can put a 5/8 hose on it and route it away from the firewall.
