I've heard of good results with cryogenic type rotors. Pick your brand......
The real weak link is the crappy stock calipers. Replace them with new stockers if you have to before you spend $$$ on "super" rotors.
Been there done that and ate new custom rotors within 15k miles

Brembo rotors from www.tirerack.com are very high quality and cost competitive.
Use with Hawk pads for a perfect match.

I just replaced mine with NAPA drilled/slotted rotors and their best pads. I considered Power Slot drilled/slotted/cyrogenic and Hawk pads both from Summit. I chose the NAPA ones because they were made in USA not offshore and the drilled holes were not as many as the others. I think too many holes would weaken the rotors. The rotors were about $140 apiece and the pads about $70 for the set. I got the best they had.
nice , thanks guys that gives me something to look at and condsider....i didnt even think about the rears affecting the fronts but i guess i will now.
after doing some searching about it....i found that this might not be the easiest of jobs...sounds like a sob if you dont have a press for the studs...how long and what did you do it at home guys use. is it an all day affair????
thanks again

It wasn't easy and a first time for me a few months ago. I have the unitized hubs and most guys have trouble unbolting the hub from the knuckle. Just about the first thing needed is removing the big axle nut (I think its 1 7/8 inch...not sure but it was big) and mine would not budge even with a 4 foot breaker bar...and most don't have this problem but I did. Finally I heated it with a MAPP gas torch and then it broke free. Too much heat will fry the hub bearings. The studs on rotor were easy. Just pound out and use the wheel nut to pull back in on new rotor.
The 4 bolts holding hub to knuckle were hard to get off but they finally popped. Watch out for the axle shaft falling and messing up the seal. I still have some pics if you want me to share with you.
