vent troubles

vent troubles

Ok,on my 98',when i turn my blower on the air just comes out all the vents,dont matter where i turn the control to,whats the deal.

What a shame, might as well sell it to me . That's a vacuum problem. Could be cable related though, geez can't remember now. It's one one of them.

Haha,you got air?we'll trade.upon a little more inspection iv'e found out that that door behind the glovebox dont open or shut could that be it?im not much of a inside mechanic,i hate under the dash work

Let call it a even trade LOL . you may have a leak a loose hose and BTW are your cruise work ? Look for this 2 hose to see any loose or crack as it happen to me few day ago and my cruise doesnt work 2. Replace the vacuum line and voilaa everything was back to normal Name:  DSC_0013.jpg

Allright thanks man,and now that you mention it sometimes my cruise acts funny,might have to replace some lines.thanks guys!

ok,i went a checked mine,and on the right side when you'r facing it,the T does not have a line going into it,and i cant seem to find a loose line anywhere,so does this need to be pluged,or am i missing a line?

the line is missing,,it must be there, just keep looking.
follow the one from under the drivers side battery up to that point.

yeap, the one missing you mention will hook it up to the cruise control servo under the driver side battery. Keep looking man LOL.

You got a 12 valve quad cab dually and would trade for a 24 valve qc dually .
I do have a/c but it quit in 02 or 03, I have no use for a/c here. I need a 4x4 though.

There is a little rubber line some where, you'll find it.

yeah, i was of my rocker a little,took me 2 years to find this truck,and she aint going anywhere,i played around found the line got it hooked back up,but still no luck,so i guess its time to head under the dash,dont you just love dodge heaters.all three trucks in my sig are messed up, gotta love a dodge

make sure it is hooked up under the battery...you may have to pull the battery, then the tray which has the cruise unit bolted to it...the line could have slipped out of the spot it goes into, or could be loose...checking this is only about a 20 min job. I don't think you have a problem in the cab, especially since you mentioned that you have intermintent problems with the cruise.

Funny you mention this I have the same problem. My blower motor works fine but I cant adjust what vent the air blows out. Did you find a solution for this problem.

Simple way to see if you have vacuum leak is to start the engine, run for a short time, shut down for five minutes then disconnect any vacuum line.
If you don't hear a hiss you have a leak.
A system with no leaks will hold vacuum for hours if not days.
