Vent issues
Vent issues
I realize this topic has been talked about countless times but I just want to clarify something.
I've read that if air only comes out of the defrost vents (vacuum leak) then more likely the 4x4 and cruise control does not work either. My 4x4 and cruise work just fine. Majority of my air comes out of the defrost area and a little comes out of the middle vents above the radio -- on max A/C
What do I need to check at this point? Pls advise. thx.

Check the vacuum line for the vents where it passes though the firewall near the turbo.
Quite common for the line to drop down from where it's supposed to be and get melted.
Simple way to check for a vacuum leak is to run the engine, shut down for five minutes then disconnect any vacuum line.
You should hear a hiss.
If you don't then you have a leak. A leakless system will hold vacuum for hours if not days.
