Uneven rear brake wear.

I pulled the drums off the rear of my '98 and found that the drivers side was in need of changing but the right side looked almost new ! ? Very little wear.
I bled the cylinder on the right side , bled a good amount of fluid from it, saw no air bubbles.
Im wondering what is going on here !

Maybe my self adjusters are not self adjusting ? ( guess i should have looked closer at that before putting it all back together)

Any clues out there ?

Thanks ,

Dew

If your self adjusters were working I'd be very surprised.
The Dodge self adjusters have a well proven record of not working.

Better get used to adjusting them on your own, I like infidel's recommendation the best, 2-3 clicks every oil change. This is done by removing the rear most oval inspection / adjusting plug on the inside of the drum and taking a screw driver and turning the "star adjusting screw" 2-3 clicks.

Not quite my method Geico.
Way I do it is jack both rears off the ground and turn the starwheel upwards while spinning the tire. Stop when it just starts to rub then do the other side.
First time you use the brakes the shoes will equalize and the shoes will no longer rub.
When I adjust at each oil change I usually get about 3 clicks off the driver's side but over ten on the passenger's.
