turn signal makes wipers go

Left turn signal only makes the wipers go on. I have not gotten into the column yet but anyone have this happen?

Not on my truck but I did have a 1967 dodge dart that when you would put the 4 ways on and the left turn signal then step on the brake the radio would play. With NO key in the ignition. Sorry for putting this here but I read your post and it made me think of that car.

I think your multi-function switch has failed. If one from a '97 is the same as yours I have a brand new one that I will let go for less than the dealer gets. PM me if interested.
