tow mirrors

What does it require to mount a pair of power flip out towing mirrors from an 04 model to my 01. I want factory towing mirrors but also want power adjust. Can it be done???
Thanks

Swap the heads from the '04 on to the arms of the '01. This is a little overly simplistic but I personaly have not done the swap. I would assume the internal parts are quite similar and you just reassemble the opposite from the disassemble process.

It has been done. I read a thread on DTR about it. As I recall he even has pics.
Do a search on tow mirrors. You will have to use the Google "DTR" search because of the "three letter rule".

No,the 04 mirrors will not bolt up to the 01 door.I did the swap on my 99 a couple of months ago.It cost me 500 dollars for 01 and 04 mirrors.took about 8 hours to do the swap.It was well worth the hassle.

A conversion can be done. I understand it is very time consuming and expensive, as others have pointed out. Your situation may be different, but I dont move the mirror glass once it is set on the manual ones. Mirrors have more surface area than OEM standard mirrors, so adjustment is not needed as often. The blind spot corner mirrors help as well.
