Re:Tow mirrors....

The factory tow mirrors on a dodge are flip up. I have a set and they're great.Go to a junk yard or the dealership.

Re:Tow mirrors....

The Ram came with fold-out tow mirrors as an option starting in 2000. They are the wide black ones that flip up when you are towing. If you cant find them in a junkyard, Dodge sells them, not cheap at $245 each for the manual mirrors but they are sharp.

Re:Tow mirrors....

I agree the dodge tow mirrors are the cat's *uts. Wouldn't do without them. Would like even better if heated fro the winter ice and snow.

Re:Tow mirrors....

I use the slip-on mirrors and love them. Easy to put on, take off. Very little, to no vibration. $40.00. You can get them made for the Ram, etc.

I saw a fellow in Wash. at a bomb party who had after-market mirrors that looked very similar to the stock mirrors but BIGger. They were extendable and were electric adjustable and heated. Hooked up to original wiring. The extendable part was manual but was easy and you don't pull them out, push them in that much. Don't remember the exact price but was something like $485 a pair. Don't remember the name of them or where he got them but some research should bring them up.

These were really nice mirrors but the slip-ons work well and at less than 1/10 the $$$, and being a poor man I use the slip-ons.

Stan

I like 'em alot! Power/Heated and they extend out an addition 4 1/2 inches. They do look like the FORD mirrors... but you can see a whole lot better when towing, so i'm not complaining!

Re:Tow mirrors....

03 tow mirrors have a different base the previous years.

How ever if you want to purchase a set of 02 non power/heated and a set of 03 power/heated, you can gut the mirrors and reassemble.

BTW the 02 non power/heated tow mirrors are great. And after a week or so you get adjusted to the difference.
