torque covertors

my father-in-law has a 97 dodge and wants to upgrade his torque convertor and wants to know about the BD torque convertor. Does anyone have any input on this. Personally I would get the Gorend but want to get other opinions.

Either has a decent TC. Goerend is probably cheaper though. Don't be too worried about the triple-disk mess. While they do offer a little more holding power, turning up the line pressure can do the same thing. I have a single disk DTT in my 99, and have turned 12's in it.
He might like it a little tighter than stock though. Ask your provider what your options are in that area. The TC in my 96 is so tight the truck will do 27mph at an idle on flat road, and back my 8K GN at an idle.
