tires...
which would you say should be better in the mud?
the yoko a/t or the bfg a/t?
the yoko's look to be more highway style.
I'm sure the bfgs could follow the yoko's anywhere offroad, as long as the trucks/drivers were the same.
just my opinion on the looks of them.
why did you only run the cooper s/t's for a week?

I'm mainly getting the Yoko's because of money issues. They will be about $300 cheaper for the set. I have talked to a few guys that have them on daily driver/hunting rigs, and they have been happy with them. And a 40k warranty.
The truck with the Coopers got stolen, I would love to get another set of them, but they are only a few bucks cheaper than the BFG. And I just don't have $800 for tires right now.

I have the bfg a/t's right now but they came on the truck, so I can't complain.... plus they are in like new condition.

One thing that I have always had trouble understanding is why so many people like the BFG a/t if they have trouble in mud. The only thing that I have ever been stuck in is mud, or jeep trails that are hard to get through with TSL swampers and lockers, so why would you buy a tire that doesn't perform well in mud?
Little or no mud around here, too sandy - otherwise I'd too would be talking about a different kind of tire.

thats no joke about the baja claws. mine wanders, and pulls real hard when braking, and forget about wet roads(unless siped). other then the on road factor, they are every bit of off road tire that anyone needs for any use. they are good in mud, loose sad, anything youll have to throw at them.
I was very happy with my Cooper Dominator Sport a/t. They have a smoth and quite ride untill the thread peeled off the R/R and did over $3,000 worth of damage to the 1/4 panel and tailgate. I replaced them with BFG all terrain TA-ko. They feel a little loose at freeway speed and high air-pressure. Still trying different pressure/load combos .Size 265/75-16, $370.26 for 2 out the door. NO MUD IN SO-CAL
CR,
I put BFG Rugged Trail T/A on this weekend and like them for the 100 miles I have on them. I have buddies that have them with 40K+ miles and still running. They spend 3 months of the year in the mud at hunt camp and never admitt getting stuck.
I have the Michelin LTX on my Jeep Liberty and they are great tires. Downsize was the cost but they handle great in the rain, mud and sand. My wife used the Jeep to pull my F-150 out the ditch when I buried it to the axle.
The only other tire I hear great reviews on is the Dueler. My buddy has Revos on his Wrangler in PA and loves them for all seasons.
Best of luck to you in the selection.
