Tie Rod End Replacemnt
Tie Rod End Replacemnt
Yesterday, I tried to replace my inner tie rod end. I popped it loose but could not get the bolt all the way out. The back end would jam against the frame with still about 1/8" to 1/4" of the bolt still in the link.
Does this mean that I need to remove the outer tie rod before I can remove the inner? I'm wondering if the outer has to be free in order to maneuver the inner link around a little more to remove it. I was trying to do this job quick -- without having to jack the truck, remove tire, etc etc.
