Thoughts about purchasing a 2500

I hope this belongs in this forums. If it doesn't, can someone please move it into the correct place?

I am looking at purchasing my first Cummins. I have ran across a 95 2500 automatic 4wd w/ 191k on it. I am going Tuesday to really inspect the truck and want to know what to look for. I looked at the truck the other day to see if it would really be something that I would be interested in. I can get the truck for right at $5500-6000, we haven't worked on an exact price yet as I am waiting on a check that should arrive tomorrow and I didn't want to waste anyone's time yet. Upon glance over, I noticed the trans is leaking but it is at the trans pan and speed sensor O ring. This is an easy fix as I have done these before on Dodge trucks.

What should I really look for- supposedly the guy that owns it has all service records going back to new.

Thanks in advance and sorry for being so lengthy.

Just the KDP, run a search on "dowel" and we'll scare you good. Also find out if the trans has been rebuilt recently, at 191K an original trans doesn't have much time. 6K is cheap for a '95 4X4, if it's been maintained well and is in good shape, jump on it.
