Question Thermostat Help

Anyone have a link containing instructions on how to change the thermostat? I think mine is on its way out and I should change it before I end up overheating somewhere. Thanks

Disconnect the battery negative cables.
Drain cooling system until coolant level is below thermostat. CAUTION: A number or letter is stamped into the tongue of constant tension clamps. If replacement is necessary, use only an original equipment clamp with a matching number or letter.
Remove radiator hose clamp and hose from thermostat housing.
Remove the three (3) water outlet-to-cylinder head bolts and remove the water outlet connector.
Clean the mating surfaces of the water outlet connector and clean the thermostat seat groove at the top of the thermostat housing.

Install the thermostat into the groove in the top of the thermostat housing.
Install the water outlet connector and bolts. Tighten the bolts to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.) torque.
Install the radiator upper hose and clamp.
Fill the cooling system with coolant.
Connect the battery negative cables.
Start the engine and check for coolant leaks. Run engine to check for proper thermostat operation.

why make it so complicated? just remove the thermostat housing and let it drain, no need to remove the hose, lift the housing and hose out of the way and replace thermostat .........take your time refilling,.

It's like I tell my tech's ....the book pays you to take it off...If you can fix the vehicle without taking it off....you got paid for nothing lol
