Thermostat '01.5

I asked this before but didn't get many replies. My truck calls for the 190F thermostat. Is there any advantage to changing to a 180F? Thanks, Kurt

Leave the 190 in, it is better for the engine to run warmer than cooler.

I agree, diesels need the heat to get the heavy fuel to somewhat vaporize.
There's no advantage to 180F thermostats.
I got mine from the local Cummins shop... gave them the engine number to get the exact piece.

Right on, thanks for the replies guys. I'll stick with the 190F. Kurt
