Thumbs up Thanks to everyone!

I would just like to tell everyone thank you! About 3 months ago, I purchased my first diesel truck; 1997 ram 2500, Auto. Everything on the truck was perfect except, the cruise didn't work. I took the truck to the local mechanic shop and they quoted me a minimum of $300 and that could vary depending on labor. It sounded a little fishy to me so I started to search the internet and luckily came across this site. After performing a short search I learned about the vacuum line under the battery, $3 later and I'm in business. Thanks to the knowledge that is shared on this site, I saved $300.
I have learned far more from this site than I ever thought I would need to know about diesels.
Thanks

The information from this site is priceless. Ive saved around $2000 bucks in labor costs alone by doing all the work my-self on my truck with alot of guidance from this site.

Welcome to the site! -Jake

I hear that. Since I bought the truck, I have straight piped it, levelled it, put new wheels and tires on it and since I thought I was going to have to spend $300 on cruise control I now have a good down payment for some other goodies. I don't really want to get too out of control yet. I know I can get horse power out the yin yang with this thing but I'm not willing to buy a new trans as I'm sure it would be the first thing to go. Putting guages in next.
I would however appreciate any info or help with the KDP, I have no idea who to contact in Utah.
Thanks again.

If you want to secure it [kdp] yourself you can buy a kit from TST or I can email you the info with all the cummins parts numbers so as you can do the repair yourself. It is a easy repair that most find not hard at all. Goodluck,,,Rick

May be we ought to start a pool. Eveytime the websight saves us money we chip in 10% to the fund. At the end of a year we have a drawing and give it away to 10 members.
