Angry tailight assembly removal

OK I'm a dumb As-. How does the taillight assembly on a 1998 one ton come off?
I found the 2 small screws by the tailgate and the assembly is loose but won't come off. It looks like a couple of serrated nails are still holding it on.

If I'm not mistaken there are only the 2 screws to remove then move slightly to the side and pull straight out, there are 2 locating pins on the other side of the screws but they just push in when reinstalling.

Busboy is 100% correct.
You will have to pull back on the tail light and wiggle it a little than the locating pins will slide out.

Thank You, I didn't want to jerk on it in fear of breaking the old plastic. This works!
