I'm in the same boat as all the rest the combo of denser air and winter blend. I also think the cold engine plays some part as in thicker oil on start up and what about the transfer case and tranny oil. I get about 14 mpg now down a couple from august.

 

My mileage has been off for a long time-the temp. gauge was running what looked to be 170-180, put in a 190 degree thermostat and the mileage came back up. The gauge touches 190 now.

[/quote]Canuck, I think you're confusing the function of the tps on your 12 valve with a 24. On a 12 the tps only controls auto transmission shifting, not engine operation.
