Stock crossover steering on '98 ,'99 4x4?

I hope this is in the right section.I've come across a listing for parts for crossover steering apparently for 98 .Was this on all 4x4's at the time ?If so did it reduce wander and the changes experienced with loads placed toward the front axle (ie snow plow )or trailering? Did it cause other problems?I'm considering changing mine from the inverted Y to this. Thanks for any info.

OK.Maybe I should describe this a little better .The system I've seen uses a solid tie rod between the wheels with the drag link connected to the tie rod .Uses conventional greasable tie rods. Perhaps this was for snow plow package trucks . Looks like a good idea to me !I found the info thru this site but haven't been able to find any follow up on how it worked out. This is the link that was listed in the earlier post,www.mark74.com/ram_modifications.htm
I did find one truck locally with this system on it .They still have wandering issues but do not have a steering stabilizer.Anybody?
