On my 96 Dodge 2500 I have trouble turning the key to remove it. I owned it for about two months before I realized that the steering wheel did not lock when the key was turned of. It does not turn to ACC either. It's not critical that it locks, just want to know what I need to replace/fix in order to cure it. I will probably not do anything with it until spring since I don't have a garage to work in.

Try a little graphite on the key to see if it frees up the tumbler.

My steering wheel only locks in the 180* from straight ahead position.
