Will a steering column from a 96 gas trucks fit into a 96 2500 cummins......

It should. The only thing it may not have is the spring thing for the auto selector window if it comes from a manual.....

It should. Check Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market . It is a salvage yard link across the country. I didn't notice any listing separating gas from diesel, just 2X4 from 4X4, tilt from non tilt, and auto from manual.
