Question Trade my 2000 powerjoke for a 12 valve?

I have a 2000 f250 quad cab long box auto with 219,000 on the 7.3 that I'm looking to sell so I can get a cummins. I talked to an old friend the other day and he has a 94 12 valve manual with 229,xxx that he was considering selling and now wants to trade with me. The 7.3 is completely stock except a dynaflow muffler. Mine would be coming with ALL fluids recently changed, a color matched topper, a toolbox, overload springs in the back, recently done tie rod ends, 70% left dynapro tires, bushwhacker fender flares, rebuilt fuel bowl, and a 52" light bar. The 12 valve has 190 horse injectors, heavier valve springs, fuel plate, cold air intake, boost and pyro gauges, 4" turbo back, recently rebuilt p7100, new clutch not that long ago, completely rebuilt transmission as well, big thunderstruck bumper/grille guard, toolbox, and I'm sure a few other little things I'm forgetting. He would also be replacing the windshield and headliner if we traded. Only thing with his is the head gasket is bad, no mixing of fluids, just spews coolant out the passenger side, he still drives it a little but just has to add coolant. I know that's a cheap fix if I do it myself.

How much would I be looking at if I had the head gasket done for me?
Unless I'm wrong, I feel like I would need money on top if we traded. What would be the lowest I should take on top? Is this a good idea in the first place or should I just forget it? Any help or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

190 horse injectors? that is a LOT of heat for a stock turbo (you didn't mention upgraded turbo) might be you have a much bigger problem than just a head gasket....

I asked him about turbo and he said no, which surprised me too, but in all honesty, I may have heard him wrong and he just as easily could've said 90 horse injectors. I do know that he's had the truck for the last 100000 miles and hasn't had major problems

Sounds like they might be Bosch 190's or what ever injector came with the 190 hp 12valve.

Around here those trucks would both be pretty darn close in asking price, have him get the head gasket fixed and there's no surprises.

I agree with gorms, same values around here for a 7.3 vs a 12 valve. Mileage wise that's about the norm too...don't see too many with under 120K miles anymore...
