i need to replace my steering box but the parts store said I need to know if it is z3a or z3b? how do I tell? whats the difference?

 

was this a stupid question? they are both the same price
I am leakin and wanderin all over the road with all new front end parts and alignment

 

I never heard of the difference as in the Z3B or a Z3A.

When I replaced mine all they needed to know was the GVW of the truck. They also asked about the VIN but that might just be specific for the 98 because of the engine.
