Where are you guys getting the depo lights? The cheapest I've seen is $170. Shipping to Canada is going to kill me so I'm trying to get the best deal.

These are Sport headlamps, but they may be a cheaper "knockoff brand". Also, I wouldn't recommend using their wiring adapters as they have no relays. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/94-02...Q5fAccessories
I'm trying to find these in black or smoked as I have silver truck and have that silver/black theme going on

Ah gotcha. I haven't seen any dual bulb Sport lights with smoked lenses, but I'm sure there's something like it out there.

Just a follow up from this. The part is a 9004 WH module according to suvlights.com. I got one from them for $5 so I didnt bother looking much further.

I did rewire my harness this past weekend to get rid of that module on both sides. I did it after reading a post by nickg based on an email from Daniel Stern and how the inner bulbs shouldnt be lit on low beam. I never could get my head lights aimed right and I was also have some kind of short in the wiring due to how I had it wrapped that was affecting the high beams. Couple that with the fact I disliked having a part I cant just walk into any competent parts store and get finally got me off my donkey and did what I should have in the first place.

Don't worry... if you do the switch, you'll be happy with the results.

far as I know, any sport lamp will work in any truck...but I have seen a post on certain yrs you will need to cut a hole in the sheet metal so there is access to one of the bulbs and most of the later yrs already have the hole cut out from the factory

The reason why I ask is because in this thread Daniel Stern Lighting's email say's to order a 99-01 sport headlight. I would think they would all work since they are two bulbs per side.

The reason they say that is because the sport headlights did not start until the '98 model year, so any sport headlight will work. Since your truck is prior to '98 you will need to cut some sheet metal to make them fit. Well worth the effort though...

I had to cut out a half-moon shaped piece of sheet metal from each inner panel when I installed my sport headlights. I just used a Sawzall and primed/painted the edges afterwards so they wouldn't rust. If you hold up the sport headlights to the opening, you can see what will need to be cut away. It's not very much, and it doesn't show at all afterwards.

Like people say, it's well worth the effort.

Should I sick with Dodge parts (new or used), or do aftermarket?

If you go with Dodge sport headlights you will pay a bundle. I think Depo's are selling on ebay for about half of what the OEM's are selling for.
