I up graded mine about 6 months ago with infinities. I'm positive they are 6x9's in the doors and 5 1/4's behind the seat but thats in my regular cab with 4 speakers. The front doors should be the same but I dunno about the rear speakers.

i used infinity 3-way 6x9's in the front but i have a reg. cab too so not sure about your back speakers.... the speakers were 100x's better than stock, great mid and highs with pretty decent bass too.

Where are you fellas purchasing your infinity speakers? I have the tweeters as well as front and rear doors and I would like to upgrade as well.

I know the front doors on my reg cab dually were 6X9, and the speakers behind the seats were 5 1/2. I would think they are the same for a ext cab, just in the doors instead of behind the seat.

Check with Crutchfield. They have always listed correct size for my various vehicles. They have good service but be sure to price check.

They sell the tweeters there? I'm thinking the tweeters might be dealer only....maybe?

Nope, Crutchfield is wrong on our trucks. They call out the 5 1/4" for the front speakers IIRC. I have even sent an email to tech support to correct it, but they haven't fixed it yet.

The quad cabs have the 6x9 in the front, and 6.5 in the rear.

Its not how many will break but how tight they fit after you try to reuse them. Best bet is to replace the clips.
I put 6x9 in front and 6.5 in rear doors.
