Shift **** Threads?

Does anyone know the thread size on a '02 6-spped shift ****? I took stock **** off and it seemed to thread perfectly onto a 3/8 nc bolt - But when I ordered a new **** with these threads - no fit! Close though!

It's 10 mm coarse, I think it's called 10mm x 1.5.
