Service Manual

Could somebody tell me how many pages are the factory service manuals from Dodge for the 01/01.5 model Ram 2500? I am looking to buy a set and Geno's lists two for the 01/01.5. Will the 02 manual work for my 01.5 or is it different? Thansk, Kurt

Service Manual(s)

Kurt,

I just got a set from Geno's for a 96 model. Two volumes. These things are HUGE. Pages aren't numbered, they're broken down into chapters and sections. Well laid out. I'd guesstimate about 1000 pages per book. Kinda expensive but after looking through them and comparing them to my Haynes, I think they are worth it.
I hope this helps.
Take care.

I imagine, if someone wanted a copy, they could PM someone with a PDF copy, and there could be a transfer of information agreed upon.

But thats just a thought, I doubt anyone would actually do that, right?

But that would be violating the copyright of the company that paid to design and manufacture that product.........right?

Thanks Guys, I looked at a few on e-bay and there were many variations and thicknesses. I think I 'll just get the ones from geno's. Thanks, Kurt

It's only about 65 MB, so it wouldn't be that bad.

I have sent people a page or three out of it on request from time to time by printing to .pdf, but that would be considered "fair use," in my opinion. Just like printing it out and carrying the printed copy out to my garage.

I downloaded mine fairly fast, but I am connected at 5MPBS.

The pdf is kind of a pain, it's so huge, and can be tough to scroll through (if you don't know what you are doing, and.. I don't.)

Otherwise, I guess one advantage is you can just print out whatever pages you like and toss them when you are done as apposed to having a greasy book.
