Seat padding

Does anyone know if you can replace the padding on the seats only on these trucks?? Mihne is a 99 with the power seats and the padding is really starting to degrade. Seats still look good and for Christmas my wife gotr me a set of Wet Okole seat cover which are awsome, but I can really start to feel the bottom of the seat.

Thanks

Chris

You should be able to find a local upholsterer that will cut new foam for the seat and install it. I was quoted $150 for such a job, but that was just one quote. There may be better prices..

Just had mine done and what a difference. The upholstery shop I went to removed the skin and replaced the broken spings in the seat box, put webbing between the springs, coverd the springs with a heavy burlap, replaced all the foam, replaced the lower side panel on the skin, and reassembled the seat for $250can. I dropped the truck off in the am and picked it up before dinner. Its unreal how cheaply they are assembled from new. A highly recomended repair

Just a suggestion - you might want to have them check the frames also for cracks. I had the drivers seat in a 95 Bronco fall backwards on me while I was getting on the freeway one day - I was looking out the windshield and next thing I knew all I could see was headliner, ***??????

Seems that the rear ender that I had been in - did no damage to my truck and the car only had cracked paint on his front plastic bumper - had caused a crack in the seat back frame, took about 5 months before it decided to let go......

NEVER WANNA DO THAT AGAIN!
