Seat belt retraction tension

Is there anyway of increasing the tension for retracting the seat belts back into the seat back?
Rig is a '98 12 valve QC; pull on belts has always been pretty light ever since I bought it used - my previous '01 gasser had a stronger pull.

There's some pull but I have to help the belt on by hand.
Thinking of added seat covers and figured it'll be more of a hassel w/ the belts and just want more pull anyway.

My only guess would be to remove the seat cover and see if you can put a turn or two into the retraction spring. Not too easy to access and may not even work.

Maybe look into replacement belts...15 years ansd 220K will wear something out....

I have fixed many lazy seat belt retractors by simply pulling the belt all the way out and giving the belt a quick spray along its whole length with silicone spray.
