Rough ride, sterring wheel is smooth
About a month I snapped the front wheel off. Long story there. Did both side ball joints, regreased everything. Got an alignment. Tie rod seemed in good shape and it actually drives nice.

Truck is riding super rough now. super bumpy. Every little bump is sharp and rattling. To the point that I think my wheel bearings are going out. The bearings are pretty new and seemed fine when I redid everything. Just checked them again today and they are super smooth and quiet with the caliper off.
Just wondering if you think I might have damaged the spring when the wheel broke off. Or if it may the shocks which are stock with 170K on it. Probably both maybe.
Just wondering where to start.

Something may be loose on the front. I'd check all components on the front end and drive terrain. Have someone drive slowly fwd/rev and see if you can find anything loose, flexing or moving.

If you have 170k mi on stock shocks...I guarantee they are toast. Find some variable rate coils and matched shocks and you'll definately like the improved ride. I'd recommend reading on here for Carli, Lorenz, Kore, etc
