What's so fascinating about the 17" wheel then? Why not save money and stick with the tried and true 16" wheel?

Uh, nevermind. I forgot about the bling factor.

The 17" mag wheel looks really good on 2nd gens IMHO. I wouldn't expect any mileage increase. Air pressure, tread design and rolling resistance coupled with rotation length may slightly increase mileage, but probably not a whole lot. The wheel would probably be a bit heavier than a 16, while a 17" tire of the same size may be a bit lighter. Another negative would be that as a tire sheds tread it will lose weight, but also lose diameter, causing 1 revolution to not go as far as when new, decreasing mileage slightly. The 'bling' factor will far outweigh any mileage gains in my opinion. Just my .02, Kurt
