Rim for spare

I am currently without a spare tire. I'm needing to find a rim to have a tire mounted on. I want to know if there are any other brand rims that will fit my truck in case I run across one. Anyone know.

The older Ford rims fit. The center hole is just slightly smaller so you may wind up cleaning it up a little with a file. I run two of them for the winter on the rear.

I am not sure as to the years, but I do know anything in the '90s will fit.

I think Chevy is the smaller center hole and FORD and Dodge are the same. F & d will work on C but not vis-versa. All three use the same pattern(size) for the lugs.

Whatever rim you find to fit, check to make sure it will still rotate with the lugs done up. I found myself sitting in a campground with a stuck front wheel when I put the spare on. I had to jam a piece of firewood between the tire and the frame and crank the wheels to get it off. I bought the truck used and had never checked the spare out. The spare I had was from a 99 and up Dodge.

I beleive it is pre 98 ford rims that will fit , after that they went to a metric size.

Yeah, pre 98, I had a 99 F-250 with the V-10. I had a nice set of atlas II's on it. Thought I would have a nice set so I traded the ford for the dodge, and went to swap them out.

Not good, hole pattern was right but the metric spacing made them like an 1/8" off for mounting on the dodge lugs. Oh well, still got the fugly stock rims for now. Waiting on a lil surplus cash to arise.

Thanks for all the info but after this morning not sure it's going to matter. I took the truck into the shop to have my timing advanced to 17 degrees. When I pulled it in the owner said that this things running like ****. It has always idled rough and seemed to have a miss in it while idling. He cracked all the injector lines to locate what he thought might be a dead cylinder. The truck actually sounded smoother when some of them were opened. He couldn't narrow it down by this and said I had pump problems which was strange due to the reliability of these pumps. Told me I was looking at a $2400 bill to put another pump on. Told me there wasn't any sense in doing the timing because of the pump problem and he would be taking my money for nothing. I guess at least he didn't charge me for the check since I had driven 70 miles for nothing.

the dodge rim pattern

is 8 lugs by 6.5 inch center to center, this pattern is the same for any ford truck rim from the year 1997 and downward. It was in 1999 that they went to that 8 lug by 170 mm pattern.

ford and dodge will work on a chevy, but a chevy will not fit a ford or dodge due to the small center hole.

I have two spare dually rims that were originally on this truck. The problem was that the holes in these rims are flat and the truck needed the rims with cup and cone lug holes for proper alignment. I have been trying to give them away but I don't want to unload them on someone that can't use them. They have had a few miles on them but only one set of tires. Shoot me a PM if interested.
