Reputable HID Sellers?
The topics of HID's and their legality, blinding of other drivers, usefulness in standard or sport housings, and 100 other things regarding them have been beaten to death. This is a totally different kind of post.
I have some questions for those of you that have bought them already. If you bought them from ebay, what was the name of the seller that you bought from? If you didn't buy from ebay then what was the site you got them from? Did you get the standard ones (low beam only) or bi-xenon? Most importantly, how are they holding up?
I've got a set of clear 2 piece lenses coming for Christmas and I would like to ask "Santa" for an HID set up to go in them but I wanted to get some insight as to who sells decent stuff. There's no point in saving $30 or $40 from one place to another if the cheaper set doesn't work a week after its in and the seller is 5000 miles away in China and not answering your emails.
I've worked with HID's before (I was an Acura Tech for 2 years) and even rebased a set of OEM Acura bulbs to work in my Galant along with OEM Acura ballasts and ignitors but the bulb used for the low beam in that car is relatively easy to make work with an OEM HID set up. Due to the design of the 9004's in the Dodge it isn't a realistic option to convert OEM ones to it. I'd appreciate it if you didn't post in here just to tell me how terrible it is to use them, you're wasting your breath.
Thanks.
John

I sent him a PM a little earlier tonight but the board was acting a little funny and I don't see it in my "sent" box. If I don't hear from him either here or via PM in the next day or so I'll try again.
Thanks.
John
