Rear Brakes on 98 3500

Ok, I'll admit it. I am confused. Have been going to change the rear cylinders to the chevys, but remembered the previous discussions about the proportioning valve and a rod which connects to it. Checking back, I see that it is supposed to be connected to the rear axle. All I see is the torsion rod, brake lines, and the sensor located at the top of the punkin. Where is it, or am I totally confused instead of just a little more than normal?
