PS pump Leaking.

I had a leak in my power steering pump that i couldnt fix so i put a new pump on and it fixed the problem but bout 3 months later that one started to leak in hte same place as the old one so by then i was mad and didntknow what to do so i just left it. I left it adding fluid bout every wk and then all of a sudden it seems to have stopped leaking, i havnt added fluid in about 2 months. (Knock on wood!!). Can they fix themselves like that or what happened?

Could be the leaking fluid swelled the seal enough to cause the leak to quit. The pump on my wifes car was leaking and making noise a couple of years ago, I was adding about a quart per week of Pennzoil Power Steering fluid with stop leak in it and after a couple of bottles the leak and noise both quit and it hasn't returned.
