You can lock both doors using the switch however when you press up to unlock nothing happens on either door. Also the controls for the power windows works for the driver side and passenger side however the switch to control the passenger side from the driver side does not work. This is getting kind of annoying, do i need to start pulling door panels and go wire hunting? Thanks for the helps guys.

 

I'm not sure if they changed them by 2001 or not, but I had issues with my 99 switches. I could not roll the passenger side window from the drivers side, or unlock the doors from the passenger side. The problem ended up being dirty contacts in the switches. Just pulled out the switch assembly and cleaned each contact with some emory cloth and contact cleaner. All good now.

 

Sounds like a drivers side master switch issue. At least they're cheap and you don't have to pull the whole panel. Trim tool can be used to release the switch bezel tabs.

 

Thanks for the info guys, I will try cleaning all the contacts first, if that doesn't work then I will be replacing the switches. i will keep you guys informed. Thanks again.
