this is the problem please help

the two steel lines that connect to the rubber lines that are coming from the tranmission cooler, the steel lines are clipped around the transmission and they go up to the passenger side screwed on to some type of pump, they hold tranny fluid, any ideas what we should do? the longest 1 is leaking.
thanks

The trans lines go from the trans to a cooler on the right side of the motor, then to the radiator. If I understand you correctly, the steel line from the trans to the first cooler is leaking. Is it leaking at a fitting? Try tightening it. You may have to replace the line thats leaking. D.C. item only? Try auto parts store first.

That "pump" is the heat exchanger for the trans.
The lines are available at the dealer for ~$100 ea.
They have a nasty tendancy to develop a leak where the rubber line is connected to the steel line at the crimp connection.

You can cut the line at the leak and add a 1/2" tube compression union to bridge the hole and not replace the line.
