Power Steering Pump

Just replaced my power steering pump with a rebuilt from NAPA. The old one was getting weak. The new one is better, but still whines a little and the steering is a still a little stiff. The sector was replaced recently and is good, all the steering joints and the dampener are good. Also, flushed the fluid when I changed the pump. Do I have a bad rebuilt pump, or is there something else it could be? Is there anything in the break booster that could overwork the pump (the power breaks seem fine)? Did I miss something?

Try adding some LubeGard PS protectant first.
The stuff is amazing, availible at most autoparts including Napa.

Thanks Infidel! I will be adding a hydraulic winch to my truck and will get some to add to the system, along with replacing the fluid at that time.
