pillar gauges

pillar gauges

has anyone installed one of these kits? are the trans temp, boost, and pyro guages hard to hook up?

It's pretty much the same as most of us have or have had installed. It's not too difficult to do your self. Just plan the better part of a saturday.

ok, i did the pillar on the 99 ram i had but it was a gaser and i only installed a air/fuel meter and vacume not hard i am just not up to speed on diesels, thanks

For your's....easy. Drill and tap the exhaust manifold for the pyro probe. Get a "boost" bolt to hook the boost gauge into the intake manifold plenen. Then spin in the tranny temp senser into the rear of the tranny (there is a small plug you can use). Even though the BEST place for the sender is in the "hot" out line. Easy. Of course you'll also need to hook up lights and power and grounds, but it's all easy. Time consuming, but easy.

Make sure you don't drill the egt sensor hole in the middle of the exhaust manifold pre turbo. It needs to be offset to the rear. There is a divider in the port going into the turbo. If you drill it in the center you've got a mess.
