Question PIAA Foglight Protection

I have the PIAA 510 series Fog/Driving light set that I want to install on my '98 2wd, but not before I take some sort of measure to minimize chances of them getting rock-chip damage. The state of Oregon uses small boulders instead of sand in the winter, and the OEM foglights on my '01 were both destroyed by Oregon's fine interstate boulders.

I am thinking about the lens cover material that Geno's Garage sells for headlights, anyone know how well this kind of material works, and will it resist yellowing with frequent headlamp use?

My truck didn't come with fog lights, I bought the foglight-style bumper inserts from Dodge, then bought the Ram mount kit with the PIAAs when I got them. I then bought a foglight-style headlight switch to try and wire up so the install will be as "factory" as possible. We will see!

OK, well then, has anyone ever used the headlight lens covers on their truck? Any Alaska highway travelers use something for protection?

Geno's headlight/foglight protection kit!

The Geno's kit works great! I only used the foglight portion as the task of covering our multi-curved 3rd. gen headlights was too scary for me. You only have so much time to squeegee the air out of them. I used the headlight protection on my 2nd. gen. It was on for seven years,no yellowing nor cataracts. Go for it!
