mine peeled today on both the Dr. and Pass. side. In a hurry and the automatic carwash is the culprit. I was wondering if it looks bad to remove the rest of the black and glue and just leave it the color of the truck? Mine is red.

You could, but I don't think it looks as good and if your truck is over a year old, the paint probably won't match the faded paint around it.

In other news, I bought a replacement sticker from the dealer and had a "body shop" install it. Turned out ****ty. The stickers are too long and either get mounted too high or too low. So now I'm at the point where I'm just going to get a body shop to paint both sides black and be done with it once and for all for $60. <shrugs> Oh well, lesson learned.

imo, the black strip looks a lot better than the paint underneath.

My stickers were damaged in a local car wash. Dealer painted them on as a replacement-- for free!! How's that for service?

HOHN,

Any chance you have (or could take) an up-close picture of your painted door area?
