Pedal Problems
I'm having a problem with the gas pedal in my truck. Its a 2002 Dodge 3500 HO with a 6 speed. The problem is after being at a sustained speed, if you push the pedal down to go faster its like the pedal is not hooked up to anything. It wont go faster or slower. If I push in the clutch and release it, it starts working fine. I don't know if this is related to the problem, but if i use the cruise control for an extended period of time and then turn it off, the engine idles at 1200 rpms. If I turn off the engine and let it sit for a bit it idles normal. Any ideas?

I've not had that problem but resetting your APPS (Accelerator Pedel Position Sensor) is worth a try... easy to do and may solve your problem!
Your pedal has no linkage...it is a drive by wire set up.

sounds like the apps is bad or out of range, try the reset and if it doesnt fix it have it scanned most of the time a shop scanner will show a code for apps out of range,if you replace it and it still does it,then id look towards the injection pump, just had one do the same thing for about 2-3 months then it finally died,if you have not checked the fuel preasure lately check it or have it checked, most likely if it isnt your apps it wont have any or very lil fuel preasure, if its under100,000 miles take it in and have it fixed under warranty, they are both covered under cummins warranty, hope it helped you
