OEM Intermediate steering shaft

I know, I know but I got an OEM 25K miles ago and its already worn out. My original lasted almost 200K miles so I though I should get at least 100K out of it. Are they making them cheaper now or is there something I should start looking wrong with the truck and ruining them quicker.

Get this, I call wholesale mopar & they tell me the part has a 1yr warranty that can be redeemed at any Dodge dealer...cool!! So I call the dealer in Texarkana & was told sure we'll warranty it after you spend $99 for us to diagnose it!! I asked if I could just take it off and let them look at it (heck it's a mechanical part & a monkey can see/feel the slack) but no they want that $100...not cool. What a racket! Long story short, I contacted the dealer in Nasville AR & they'll do it for $25. Guess where I'm going!

So much for the do-it-yourselfers using OEM parts.
