Not shifting out of first.. Unless i totally let off

I was having this problem Before i got my email to work and all i could do was search for other similar problems and read your answers. so i took my truck into gillett diesel, in my opinion the best diesel shop in SLC, and they narrowed the problem to the TV cable being to tight. they werent quite sure why or how it had tightened but loosening it up fixed the problem and it shifts fine now. im wondering if anybody has ever heard of a chip/box or programmer causing a change in the TV cable?

Never mind. because the part they loosened for the TV cable, it was purely a mecanical problem and the chip did not cause it in anyway. how ever if any of you get this same problem, the tension of the TV cable would be in the first few things i would check. FYI. see ya
