No dash or tail lights
Where is the fuse to the tail lights? I have looked at the fuse panel in the dash to the left of the steering wheel and under the hood. Brake and turn signals work just fine. All fuses I have found look fine to me. 2002 Dodge 2500 CTD. My son in law was using the truck to pull his boat trailer.
thanks,
Look in the Under Hood Power Distrabution Center. (the little black box on the fender) It sounds like he may have blown a fuse while pulling his boat trailer. Check the trailer wiring fuse, if that's not it then start checking all the light fuses one by one until you find the one that's blown.

I've been in the same situation before, pulled someone elses gooseneck trailer and lost all my marker lights. :'( Replaced a 30amp fuse and I was back up and running.

Good Luck

DB

Re:No dash or tail lights
Thanks for the information. The blown fuse was easier to find once I knew to look in the fuse panel under the hood. I was expecting to find it in the dash panel for some reason. Also it was easier to find in the daylight.
thanks again,
I had lost my dash lights and running lights. Turned out to be fuse #18 in the panel beside the drivers door. Kind of a nusance that Dodge used 2 sizes of spade fuses on these rigs, but a 15A blue fuse had it back right away.

I had that problem more than once.... Installed a relay on the marker light circuit for the trailer lights and no more problem. There is more than one thread on this site that makes a reference to the poor power handling of the marker light circuit and headlamp switch. From what I understand, the headlamp switch is weak, so they sized the fuse to keep the switch from burning out. The trailer can only have a couple lights on it before it will blow the fuse out. I was pulling a 20' flatbed that had about 20 marker lights on it, and that would blow a fuse in a matter of a few minutes. after putting a relay on and a considerably larger fuse through that line, I do not have that problem anymore. Also, some of the trucks that came with the factory towing package have this relay built in (but some do not) so you may want to look into that...
sorry about the long post.
