Mine is nice and clean because of the failed AGR boxes I kept replacing. (Lock ring let go, seal drops & the fluid comes out real fast.) The only down side is you loose steering and brakes - hopefully not while going down the interstate at 70 mph.

just did a partial flush with same style hand pump pulled out about 16oz put back in same. I'm trying royal purple this time around. so does anyone know what the interval of changing the fluid is I'm sure it may be diff pending what your using for fluid. I usually flush like this every 6 months but only taking out about the same each interval. it seems like cheap insurance just dont know if I'm wasting money doing this every 6months.

I do the same every 6months approx I was doing the trukey baster thing, but this hand pump removes so much more, I personally dont think you can do it too much, oil is cheap compared to having the grief of PS pump/box/ hydrobooster issues, just look back thru old posts, they usually pop up seasonally just as the weather turn cold, there is always a ton of, " I have a puddle of PS oil on the ground is it my PS pump?" or "my PS is growling whats wrong?" and 99.99% of the time a simple flush cures the issue of "wore out PS oil"
if you think of it its the most over worked and smallest amount of fluid in your truck, and its the most neglected, our trucks aside almost every owner out there never even thinks or changes their PS fluid in any veh they own
