hey guys im new too the diesel world i have always wanted a stack on my truck i realy dnt like the look off too and how high they uasly are would it be a bad thing to run ste stack about 8 inchs above the bed side??

Guess it depends on how much sooty water you want on the bed of your truck after it rains (the taller the stacks the further and less concentrated the water seems to spread out). As far as appearance, to each his own. I started with flush to the top of the cab and now have them 8" over.... a LOT less sound resonating in the cab (I can hear myself think and hold a conversation now)

Twin turbos go a long way to quieting these things down, I was surprised how much. The lower the stacks are, the louder it will be in the cab.
