New (to me) 98 QCSB 12V - some questions

It has been a while since I have been active on the board so it is good to be back amongst like-minded gearheads.

The story is the PO(s) pulled a tag-along camper and then bought a dually to pull a 5th wheel. There is evidence of pillar gauges and pump work, it has a 4" Dynomax exhaust, and a BHAF. Trans shifts way better than stock but no idea of what is actually inside. It does not have the 1995 trans lines (will be getting them though). Truck has the integrated running boards with full wheel well lips and a flat hard top on bed. It was originally sold in High Point NC and then relocated to Richmond VA area in 2005ish. If anybody recognizes this truck please contact me as I would love to know the details on what has been done to it.

Where does one hang a trailer brake controller in a Quad cab? And what is the current "best" brake controller? (I know, argument time - I have a Jordan Ultima 2020 in the 96 and a Tekonsha Voyager in the 78 W200)

I have to rebuild the front brakes due to warped rotors. I will check timing and the fuel plate to see what I can determine but is there anything else to keep an eye on?

Any help appreciated with this "new" style body. Tis a sad commentary when your "new truck" is 14 years old with 189K miles. But it is still 100K less than my 96, 60K less than my W200, and 70 K less than my Scout.

Nice find! The Holy Grail of Dodge trucks...

My brake controller is on the lower right side of the dash down towards the accelerator. Normally that's where I have always placed them.

Sounds like a nice one.

Thanks. I have kinda been looking for one of these for a while. After driving a regular cab for 25 years between the 78 Powerwagon and then the 96 I am finding it very convenient to have the space behind the seat to put stuff. The wife appreciates riding home from the grocery store without stuff piled around her. Plus it rides a little smoother than the regular cab but that may be tires or front suspension age (96 has new springs).

I am leaning toward a Maxbrake since none of my trailers have ABS. That way I can setup all the tow vehicles with the wiring and just swap the controller around to whatever is pulling the trailer or camper this time.
