Fellas,

My 1st gen has 4 bent wheels and I have the chance to get these 2nd gen wheels for 35 bucks for the set.

My question is, how wide are they ?

Those wheels should be 7.5 inches wide.

Thank you for the response.

My current 1st gen wheels are not only bent, but they are only 6 inches wide. My 285 tires are somewhat bubbled on the narrow wheels so an extra 1.5 inches in width should really flatten the tread out some.

I think I'll go give the guy his 35 bucks in the morning.

Those are 6.5" wheels. Or atleast thats what the door tag says on my truck that came with those wheels. I know the 305 tires that came on them were pretty narrow at the beads.

I guess you'll have to measure them. They look just like my tires which are 7.5".

Maybe we should know what year they came from. I don't know if the steel wheels on the 00+ trucks were wider like their aluminum counterparts, but the steel wheels on my truck were 6.5".

I appreciate the input fellas. It was a Craigslist ad, 4 wheels for 35 bucks. I called the guy and he just couldn't wrap his mind around measuring the width of the wheels for me. He kept repeating "they are 16 inch wheels".

Since he was an idiot and it was an hour drive I actually bought some different wheels rather than fool with him.
