these are pricey

I have alway used michellins the LTX M/S E rated. The minimum mileage i have gotten is a little more 70k miles on every set. I have never wore them till the were slick basically down to the wear bars. Always a smooth quiet ride.

Not good off road. Can not pull a greasy string out of a cats rear end on wet grass?

We have had good performance from the B F Goodrich T/A radial, 267 75R 17 E load. 45 to 50K. I do like the looks of the Michelin LTX™ A/T2 LT265/70R17/E 121/118R LRE From what I understand this is a great on off road tire and is excellent for towing. Higher mileage, ride is good as well. We have found that a local small business tire person, like Car Country Wheels and Stuff here in Gaston county will beat any chain store pricing. May want to look in your neighbor hood for the little guy wanting to make a sale.

Ditto on Michelin LTX M/S E-rated. I'm on my third set. I've always gotten at least 80,000 out of them with never a problem.
